Stalowa Wola is a city of well developed educational base including primary and secondary schools, vocational schools, university branches and high schools oferring master's degree studies.

The example of such practice is collaboration between Group of Schools No. 4 and Aviation Valley association. Aviation Valley groups institutions, organisations and companies involved in the aircraft industry activity in Podkarpackie province. Thanks to the collaboration between those two institutions a programme of students' trainining in professions related to metal and aircraft branches has started. This kind of activity is possible due to the support of the EU funds.
In the area of science The Catholic University of Lublin's activity is very important. The university branch in Stalowa Wola offers studies for three thousand students in the form of both regular and extra-mural courses. The following faculties are available: economics, pedagogy, law and sociology. It is also possible to attend post-graduation courses.
Another institution is Prof. R. Kudliński HIgh School Olympus offering studies in the area of economics.
To meet the demand of local companies for graduates of technical faculties a branch of Rzeszów Technical University was established in 1998.
Since 2001 Economic High School (Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomiczna - WSE) has been operating in the city. The school's programme focuses on subjects related to economics and law. A very important aspect of the school's activity is teaching the WSE's students foreign languages.
The oldest educational institution in Stalowa Wola is the Public City Library. It has been running its activity since 1938. |
